What follows isn’t a typical bio. It’s a story—a true one. It’s how this work began, how it keeps going, and what it means to me. If you find something in it that resonates, welcome. You’re in the right place.

I’m not an angel. I paint cards to save my own damn soul. (There but for the grace of God go I, just like everyone else.)

When I first walked back into church in 2007, I figured the walls might fall down. I had a past a mile long—and it followed me in. I walked in carrying my whole messy story. I sat down right next to the ladies’ group like I belonged there.

And in fact—I did belong there. Right there in the mess of life. Right there in the beauty of it too.

But I showed up anyway. And over time, these cards became part of that showing up—my way of making something honest, something kind, something that might reach someone else who feels a little out of place too.

If you’re part of a ministry or community trying to do real, imperfect, beautiful work—these cards are for you. They’re not polished. They’re not perfect. But they carry heart. And they’ve found their way into Catholic gift shops, outreach groups, and hands that hold others with care.

There’s something about thrift stores that feels sacred to me. All those items—left behind, but not forgotten. You pick something up and think, someone once loved this. That’s how I feel about art, and maybe even life.

I didn’t grow up with shelves full of Precious Moments, but I admired them. Years later, I found one for 99 cents in a thrift shop in Michigan. No box, no fuss. Still precious.

That’s how I think of these cards. They’re not flashy. They’re not chasing trends. They’re just small pieces of beauty, meant to be shared.
